"Transitioning into motherhood was as expected and also a lot longer than expected."

Meet my friend, Florine! Florine and I met at church while we were living in New Orleans. She's so sweet and has an adorable 2 year old son. I'm so glad you get to meet her, too!

How many kids do you have? Ages?

I have one little boy who is 2 years old.

Favorite part of motherhood?

Having fun with my son.

One thing you’ve learned about yourself through motherhood?

I can function pretty good on very little sleep. (Sarah here, isn't that the truth!)

One truth (or more) you wish someone had told you about before becoming a mother?

I would have loved to have had a laid out schedule on when things happen. For example, when do babies usually start sleeping more than 1 hour at a time? Also how hard it is to breastfeed and how very little time we get for ourselves.

How did you deal with the emotions associated with the above topic? How did you feel transitioning to motherhood went for you?

I am the kind of person who takes things as they come, but a heads up would have been nice so I can look forward to sometime in the future for comfort. So transitioning into motherhood was as expected, and also a lot longer than expected before I was like "Ok I got this, I can do this, and this is getting easier".

Favorite places to seek out mom advice?

My mom and my friends with kids (rarely though).

Any words for a new mama?

YOU CAN DO THIS. Also, it does get better, and you will enjoy it, if not now, sooner than you think.

Anything else you'd like to add?

Mom's rock!!!!!
